How to Care for your Crystal Garden Jewelry
Cleaning
If your jewelry is very dirty and contains only Swarovksi Crystals and no pearls you may wash your jewelry in warm water with a mild detergent and soft toothbrush. Do not immerse your piece in water, use ultrasonic cleaners. boiling water or ammonia. Only use a soft cloth to dry your jewelry, as any other material may scratch.
More care must be taken if your jewelry contains Swarovski simulated pearls. These should be buffed with a soft dry cloth, they may get wet but do not srub them.
To polish your sterling silver, a silver polishing cloth is the best option, rub each silver piece while taking care around the crystals and pearls. Do not use the cloth on any component other than the silver.
How to Store and Slow Tarnish
Your jewelry arrives in a tarnish resistent filled box, however, do not store you jewelry in this box for a long periods of time. Place the piece in a air tight zip lock bag within the box to help slow the tarnishing process. Wearing your sterling silver jewelry will also help slow the oxidation process.
How to Avoid Wear and Tear
Avoid contact with hairspray, perfumes, deoderants, detergents and salt water. Add jewelry last when dressing and do not wear while bathing or exercising.
There is no way to prevent sterling silver from tarnishing but a little tender loving care will keep your piece looking as good as new.
